About 10 medium storm cells are crossing Lake Mead as of 7:55 p.m. They are headed toward the northeast side of the valley. Updated August 14, 2022 - 7:59 pm Storm cells danced around and avoided Las Vegas most of Sunday, but that could change Sunday evening. A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 8:15 p.m. for northeast Clark County including the Moapa Valley, Overton Arm and Lake Mead east of the Narrows. Gusts could reach 60 mph. Boaters should get off the water and seek shelter indoors.
